MY ENGAGEMENT & MY WEDDING

1993 was my graduation years for my Diploma and the same year i've decided to further my study at ITM Shah Alam to do my Advance Diploma In Insurance for 2 years....it's a twin program, that offer, 1st year Malaysia and 2nd year will be in Glasgow, Scotland. Sound interesting isn't it...yes definitely, because i just a step away from my actual mission which is....to further my study abroad. So, i did my 1st semester in Shah Alam   and suddenly something strike me....my gf (Wife) wanted to do her degree in US. Well, this news really make me think twice about my current study at that time....should i go to Glasgow or US......

A day before the final exam, i make my firm decision....i want to go to US for my degree. So i call my mum and informed her that i would like to quit from my study in Shah Alam and wanted to go to US for my degree. So, the application process start and i managed to go for the interview session. Alhamdullillah, MARA granted me the convertable study loan for my degree program. Then i have appointed an education agent in PJ to do my degree program application process. At that time, internet is not available yet, so everything have to be done manually. 

Next step, i've to sit for my TOEFL test....Alhamdullillah, i manage to get 570 for my score. With that TOEFL result i manage to get 3 offer...1st, from Northern Illinois University...2nd, Wichitah State University...3rd, Oklahoma State University......After considering a few matters....i decided to follow my gf(wife). We decide to have tide up our relation with an engagement. In November 1994, my future father in law was admitted to ICU and a few days after that he pass away.He really wanted to see his last daughter get married before further her study in US. Because of that, we have move foward our wedding day from 1996 to December 1994. Alhamdullillah, everything goes well BUT my father in law past away a week before our wedding.  

10th December 1994 was my wedding day and 2 weeks after that both of us further our study in US, we took our flight on 25th December 1994. Officially...we are married at the age of 22......and at the same time we are doing our degree. It's a new chapter in our life....as a newly married couple and a full time student. My new mission now....is to make sure i get a good result and convert my study loan to full scholarship.
